![]() 2012 Summer Reading Program
(June 15 - August 15)
The Pacific Beach/Taylor Library's annual Summer Reading Program will begin on June 15 and continue through August 15. Kids (ages 3-11) and teens (ages 12-18) are invited to participate by picking up a reading log at the library. Additionally, free events will be presented throughout the summer. This year's themes are Dream Big Read! for kids and Own The Night for teens. All young readers earn prizes after reading 10 library books or 10 hours, and earn entries for a prize drawing when they read beyond that. FREE EVENTS FOR KIDS will be presented every Wednesday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. and on two Thursday mornings at 10:00 a.m. Here's a preview of what to expect:

The 2012 Summer Reading Program is generously sponsored by the Friends of the Pacific Beach Library, the Pacific Beach Town Council, the San Diego Public Library Foundation, the Friends of the San Diego Public Library, Daphne's California Greek Café, Ferrero USA, LegoLand California, the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center, the San Diego Air and Space Museum, the San Diego Natural History Museum, and the San Diego Padres as well as the Collaborative Summer Library Program and the California State Library. The California Summer Reading Program is a project of the California Library Association, supported by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act, a federal grant program administered in California by the State Librarian.
