Let's get ready for Halloween by getting down to Michael Jackson's Thriller dance on the Pacific Beach Library's Cass Street Plaza! Our next THRILLER NIGHT event will be on Tuesday, October 27, 2026 at 7 PM, under the stars and shrouded amongst the shadows.

Learn the choreography at home using videos on the "Thrill the World" website (https://ThrillTheWorld.com/choreography). Or during September & October we'll host free in-person Thriller Dance Rehearsals on the PB Library's Cass Street Plaza: Saturdays at 11 AM (September 26; October 3, 10, 17, 24) & Tuesdays at 6 PM (September 22, 29; October 6, 13, 20, 27).

The Pacific Beach Library hosted our first Thriller Night in October 2022. That summer we also hosted our first "Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever" (Click here to see), and afterwards the participants said that they'd had so much fun that they did not want to wait an entire year to gather and dance together again. After some deliberation, we decided to dare to attempt to replicate Michael Jackson's Thriller. Fortunately, there were already excellent instructional videos available online that were created for "Thrill the World," an annual effort to simultaneously perform the Thriller dance around the globe. Locally, Thriller SD coordinates both Thriller classes and performances in our region, and they have embraced our library's zombies.
